My boss and friend told me the other day that they were more than likely going to sell the business. I'm very sad, it's not the money, most weeks I only earn less than $50 but it's been just over 10 years since I started there. It's my second home I'm always welcome there and I can raid the fridge. I never know who I'll find there or what things I'll do. I've known the family for 30 years. I've never left a job and felt so sad about it. At least I've taught most of you about what is a heavy load, I think most of you can recite my spiel about what's going in the bin. It's funny about what you take for granted until it's threatened.
I love you all, don't take life for granted.

kids
I'm in the shower this morning and my 9 year old comes in to tell me Nanna Day (my mum) rang and I need to ring Aunty Brenda (who is on holidays). So My Family don't do the you need to ring another member of the family thing so I'm thinking Oh God what's wrong. I ring my sister - no answer, ring her hubby - no answer, ring my sister again and wake her up, she has no idea what I'm talking about. So I ring my mum and wake her up, no she didn't ring. And then it dawned on me, my sister and boss share the same name. Yes my boss rang not the two people I woke up. Bloody Children.
Yes 3 weeks into school and we are already one lunch box down!

Happy New Year.
Happy New Year! Had a super great start to the new year at Dan's, drank way too much, swam, ate great food, had a wonderful time with friends. This is going to be a great year, full of challenges, rewards and new personal bests. The best is yet to come, strap yourself in and enjoy the ride. Sam may just make it to start school, the bets are still open. Saw Avatar today - what a great/wonderful movie. Thanks Helene for watching my kids so Jon and I could go see it. BMX has kept us real busy and I'll be happy when it's over and we can get into some sort of routine ready for school.
